I came up with this crazy idea to play 100 guitar solos from the J Rock bands of any era.
Yes, ONE HUNDRED SOLOS.....

Will it isn't so bad because:
1) solos are about 8-16 bars average.  so about 20 to 30 seconds per solo.
2) I've been listening to a lot of J-rock music for awhile so I know a ton of J rock tunes.
3) I am genuinely excited to learn thee solos.  So I have a lot of motivation!

So Why did I decided to do this?
First, I just thought it would be fun to do,  I've been listening to Japanese Rock music for a long time but I noticed that I don't ever play any songs I listen to.  Probably because I don't have a lot of people around me who likes or appreciate this kind of music.  I needed a way to release all of my J Rock energy out of me by sharing my videos on social media.

Secondly, it would be a great opportunity to work on my electric guitar skills because I was in a bit of a long hibernation phase with the electric guitar.  I've been very busy doing a lot of finger style acoustic guitar playing but recently I've gotten the itch to playing more rock and roll music.  Coincidently, I came across some brand spankin new bands on Youtube and they sound very good!  I got very excited because it seems that J Rock has very much evolved!  Such bands like DIMLIM & Dezert got me back into J-Rock once again and hopefully that it will continue to grow.

Since I've been out of the Rock loop for a 10 years or so this challenge will force me to catch up on what I've missed.  I've just started the 100 guitar solos challenge but already I've been finding out about close to 40 bands I've missed out on.  Particularly, I have a blind spot in the 2000-2010 era so I'm looking forward to learning some music from the bands that were prominent in that era.  I think from what I gathered THE GAZETTE is one of the big ones that emerged around that time.  I've been checking them out but it is a shame not too many guitar solos form them.
